The Process

How an audit happens

01

Intake call

A short call to understand your site, your platform, and what's prompting the audit.

02

Review

We run the automated scans and manual testing against your site.

03

Report

You receive a written report: findings, severity ratings, and a prioritized roadmap.

04

Walkthrough

A call to go through the findings together and answer questions.

What happens after: most clients choose either a one-time remediation project to fix what the audit found, or an ongoing monthly care plan so new issues get caught before they pile up.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

Do you fix the issues too?

The audit itself is diagnostic: you get a clear report and a prioritized plan. We also offer remediation, either as a one-time project after the audit or as an ongoing monthly care plan, if you'd rather we handle the fixes.

Do automated tools catch everything?

No. Automated scanners catch a meaningful slice of accessibility and security issues, but they miss things that need a human, like whether a screen reader user can actually complete your checkout flow, or whether an admin account has more access than it should. That's why our audits combine automated scanning with manual testing.

What's the difference between Section 508 and WCAG?

WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) is the technical standard. Section 508 is the federal law that requires U.S. federal agencies, and often their contractors, to meet that standard. ADA Title II now points state and local government websites to WCAG 2.1 AA as well. In practice, meeting WCAG 2.1 AA satisfies the technical bar for both.

Do you work with non-WordPress sites?

The Accessibility Audit works for any platform. It tests what renders in the browser, not the CMS underneath. The Security & Performance Audit is WordPress-specific. If you're on a different platform and want a security and performance review, get in touch and we'll discuss scope.

How do I prepare?

Send us your site URL and, if you have one, admin access for the Security & Performance Audit. For the Accessibility Audit, we just need to know which templates or page types matter most to you, and we'll take it from there.

What do I receive?

A written report with a summary scorecard, a detailed issue table with severity ratings, and a prioritized remediation roadmap, plus a walkthrough call to go over it together. See a sample report for the exact format.
